Electronic Arts Sims Studio today has announced thatThe Sims 3for PC and Mac is finished and done; it’s gone gold and been sent to manufacturing for its June 2 street date. And that’s worldwide, too — we’re talking 60 countries worth of people ignoring real-life tasks to take care of their virtual person.
The game will be available in a few flavors, includingThe Sims Collector’s edition which will retail for $69.99 and will include a 2GBThe SimsPlumbob USB drive, a tips and hints guide, and an in-game European sports car for your fake people to cart around in. If you’re not interested in the extras, you’re able to pick up the game at retail ordigital distributionfor $49.99.
If I can get my PC in working condition forThe Sims 3, I may have to re-evaluate Destructoid’s E3 coverage plans. The game launches the week of the expo, and it appears I’m going to have fake persons I need navigate to work and the toilet. Sorry, guys.
