A week before E3, I posted apredictions postthat featured the adorable (and adoptable!) animals of the Burbank Animal Shelter making predictions about what they thought would happen at this year’smammoth industry event. The entire process was highly emotional, unbelievably satisfying, and one of the greatest experiences of my entire life. In fact, every time I go back and read theoriginal predictions articleI still get a little teary-eyed. I fell in love with all of those amazing animals and can’t wait to visit them again soon. ACTUALLY I AM GOING TO GO RIGHT AFTER FINISHING THIS!
But now that E3 is over, how did the puppies (and kittens!) do? Did they make accurate predictions? Which animal was the most accurate? And was my ultimate goal in doing this experiment reached? Did any of these wonderful, beautiful animals getadopted?
As a quick summary, I went into the shelter with alist of yes/no questionsprovided by you, the community. By asking each animal the questions, I observed their reactions to determine their answers.
In addition, I had all the animals interact with three videogame controllers (Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 3). Whichever controller they played with the most would decide who that animal thought would “win” the annual press conferences.

This post is a just a roundup of the dramatic results.
Oh, and to make it official, we took a vote at Destructoid about which of the main three companies (Microsoft, Nintendo, or Sony) “won” the press conferences. The majority voted for Nintendo, so that was used to help calculate these prediction results.
So, let’s get to it. How did these animals do? Did they make better predictions than the highly paid industry analysts?

So, the animals of the Burbank Animal Shelter got 49% of the predictions right. Not amazing, but not too shabby either. I mean, they are ADORABLE ANIMALS after all, so getting approximately half of the predictions correct is pretty darn impressive, if you ask me.

Amazing news!Since posting the article, “Sabin”, Patience, The Situation, and Lady have been adopted.YAY! This news makes me feel so good. In the original article, I stated: “If even one of these fine, loving animals gets adopted because of this prediction post, I will be the happiest person on the planet.”
Well, I am now the happiest person on the planet.
And, even better, since the article, there have been numerous calls and visits to the shelter to check out the amazing animals. Which is incredible news. It is only a matter of time untilallof these dogs and cats find wonderful homes.
