Those games that we were having trouble finding in Tokyo just happen to be the two top selling games for the week. The new Media Create sales numbers say that Wii RPGThe Last Storyis the best seller, with almost 115,000 units sold, including those packaged in that yummy new Wii bundle. Sega brings back their SRPG franchise for a second run withValkyria Chronicles 3, and it ranked right behindThe Last Storywith 102,779 units sold.
And yes,if you’re wondering from the other day, I did get my copy. It’s a lot like the last game, but with a cooler story and harder battles. I’m pretty pleased so far.
You know what came in at number 3? PSP gameMy Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute, with 88,000 units sold. I…uh looked at it. Here in Japan it is known asOre no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Portable, and it’s pretty popular. It uses a new tech called Live2D to animate the character portraits that are typical of these games. They now look like full on animations. It’s pretty cool to see live.
