THQ announced earlier today thatSupreme Commander: Forged Allianceis currently in the works for PC and will be released this November. It’s going to bea standalone title that is compatible with the original game, meaning new strategic options will be available.
But, Chris Taylor and the rest of guys at Gas Powered Games aren’t satisfied with making just another sequel — no, they have bigger plans in mind:
Supreme Commander: Forged Allianceis not only the continuation of the epic story that is unfolding inside the game’s universe, it is the continuation of our goal to move the bar for RTS gaming even higher than ever.Forged Allianceoffers over 100 new units, more maps and an entirely new faction … we are stuffing this game with all kinds of new features!
I tried my best to get intoSupreme Commander, but for whatever reason, I was never able to. Could it be that I’m too used to playing real-time strategy games likeWarcraftandDawn of War? Or maybe I am justdoing it wrong.
In any case, it’s sounding like if you enjoyed the originalSupreme Commander, you’ll love the sequel just as much, if not more.
