I’ve always marveled at the amount of terrible decisions that Nintendo has made in terms of content on the Virtual Console. It’s not like the games that they pick are bad, it’s just that I want to have some more premiere titles available to me. Today, Europeans can rejoice because one of those premiere titles has finally hit the wire. The SNES classicSuper Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Starsis out today for the small price of 900 Wii points.

I’m excited for little reason at all. It’s not like I can go download this thing at will. I recently talked to a real British person, Dr. Stim Jerling, about the release. He was not as impressed as I about the announcement:

I have this strange habit of not paying for ROMs. Also, bollucks.

There you have it, folks. Now only if Nintendo would releaseEarthBoundlike a good little boy, I would be all set. Even thoughSuper Mario RPGis only out in PAL territories right now, we can probably expect a proper release in the states soon. Finally, I will be able to bury all that childhood anxiety over dropping my cartridge in a mud puddle.
