Disclaimer — I wasn’t originally going to post this video. I shot it the same week that Sagat and Pals reviewMarvel Vs. Capcom 3, and within a few days after the game launched, most of the stuff about on howMarvel Vs. Capcom 2fans (namely, Justin Wong) was no longer valid. I re-shot the video with new points (and better sound), but that video was lost when my computer was stolen last week. On top of that, my video camera was also stolen, so wont be able to reshoot the video, or shoot anything else, any time soon.
So why am I posting this video then? Well, I figured it was worth letting you decide if you think it’s worth watching or not. Also, I think the point here is worth discussing regardless. Why are fighting game fans in particular, and more “passionate” gamers in general, so prone to insane love or hatred of particular games? Why is it that some people loveStreet Fighter II, (orOcarina of Time, orResident Evil 4,orPokemon Red/Blue), but hateStreet Fighter III(orTwilight Princess, orResident Evil 5,orPokemon White/Black) despite that fact to the “untrained eye” the games in question are more or less interchangeable?
