A few months back, I had a conversation with Mark Rein about Sony’sLittleBigPlanet, which immediately launched him into a calm speech about how the Unreal Engine 3.0 could do that. The Unreal Engine 3.0, he pitched, could do anything.

Well about about a wrestling game? This first gameplay trailer forTNA Impact!is one of the few examples of the engine doing powering something other than a first or third-person shooter. The end result is impressive, too. I had a chance to play the game last night, and the smooth 60 frames-per-second visuals are a testament to what the engine can do outside of angry, muscular dudes with guns. Here we have angry, muscular dudes in tights. It’s all about versatility.
