Perhaps more interesting is the fact that both the retail and digital versions of the game will utilize Steamworks for multiplayer. This means game updates, DLC, friend-list support, and of course, achievements. ‘Nuff said.
Creative Assembly Studio Director Mike Simpson praised Steamworks saying, “it not only helps make multiplayer slick and sizzling, it also frees up a huge chunk of the team’s time which helps make the whole game better.”
I’m not feeling the 18th century setting forEmpiremyself, but according to the press release, it’s the most requested era by fans. More power to ’em, I suppose.
