At last month’s Tokyo Game Show,I got my hands on Square-Enix’sStar Ocean: First Departurefor the PSP. I wanted nothing more than to show you how wonderful the game looked, but Squeenix had me on camera lock down, and they only supplied me with a couple of craptastic screenshots. The day has been saved by bothGametrailersand Jeux-France, giving us both video and screenshots of the upcoming RPG.The above trailer is little more than a Japanese teaser, but it does give you some idea of the quality of the cutscenesI talked about earlier. The low quality of the video does not do the real thing justice.Jeux-France has got the real goods with agallery of forty high-quality imagesfrom the game. Screenshots of the above-mentionedcutscenes, along with severalbattleandoverworld/mappictures should make any JRPG fan’s day.Hit the jump for a few highlights. Those that hate anime may not dig this game. The pre-rendered backgrounds look great.[thanks to JV and Gametrailers]
