Last week we talked about yet another teaser site, with Square Enix hinting at what some believed to be a newRomancing Saga. It would seem thatSagafans will be disappointed, butFinal Fantasyfans will be elated at the news that a brand new game,Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaidenison the way, and it’s heading to the Nintendo DS.
As usual, the teaser site’s contents were revealed before the site could officially make the announcement, withWeekly Jumpmagazine detailing Squeenix’s brand new game.Gaidentells the tale of a fourteen-year-old boy who is summoned by a king on his birthday to rescue a princess. Highly original stuff, right!?
The game allegedly takes the form of a menu-driven traditional RPG, in which MP has been replaced by a new “Charge” function. No idea what that means for now, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough. Customization should also be part of the focus, with equipment changes having an effect on how your character looks. All RPGs should have this function, but barely any do, so that’s good to know.
So, no newSaganews so far. Sad things for some. Still, we have anotherFinal Fantasygame. We haven’t had one of those for a few weeks.
