To call the two months following the release ofFinal Fantasy XIV“turbulent” for players might be putting it mildly. People have been complaining almost non-stop about issues with the game, while Square Enix has repeatedly sworn up and down that they’re working to fix it.

Today brings another apology and another promise. But Square Enix is making some very visible moves beyond vocal protests that they’re working on it. They’ve restructured theFFXIVdesign team, bringing in producer Naoki Yoshida to head up the project along with a number of veterans from other Square Enix teams.

Along with this announcement comes yet another delay of the PlayStation 3 release of the game, as it is not expected to be finished in time for March 2011. Just as well, I suppose. If they haven’t managed to get one, already released version of the game to work, it only makes sense not try andjuggle multiple projectsat once.
