In FebruaryBubble Bobble Wiicame to Japanese WiiWare, and I was oohing and aahing over it in hopes I might get to play one of my classic favorites with tons of extra maps including expert map packs. It seems that my wish will come true, asGamegurureports that Square Enix has announced a release date for the title in the U.S. The game will be calledBubble Bobble Plus!in the states and will be coming to WiiWare on April 10th.
That’s not all, though. Another Taito game is coming in May calledRainbow Islands: Towering Adventure!(is it just me or are these games all about exclamation points, by the way?) which puts you in the role of twin heroes Bubby and Bobby who must climb to the top of Rainbow Tower. The game features a story mode, challenge mode and time attack mode as well.
No word on pricing yet, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough. I hate trading friend codes, but forBubble Bobble Plus!I’m going to have to get off my ass and do it, because I am totally addicted to the Bubble Bobble universe.
