Okay, I don’t currently play mobile games, but I have to say I would play mobile games if something that wasn’t total crap was actually available to play (or if the majority of US cell phones weren’t totally uncomfortable to play games on.) In Japan however, cell phone users are light years ahead of us, programming their phones to signal their friends when attractive potential males are in their immediate radius, alerting them when its time to cram for tests, and summoning giant robots to do their bidding. Ok, maybe my imagination got a little carried away…

At any rate, Square-Enix just announced their latest RPG for mobile phones,Ellark, which I would happily play if I could, but it’s a part of Square’s mobile program in Japan, which has everything fromDragon QuesttoFriends of Manaon it (check out thewebsite.) No further details aboutEllarkhave surfaced just yet, but you’re able to check out theofficial site, look at the pretty pictures and grumble to your friends that Japan gets all the good stuff (my friends are so used to this complaint that they don’t even really acknowledge it anymore.)
