So yeah: NewSonic Colorsbox art (both Wii and DS) and a trailer is out. There you go.
I’m going to take this opportunity to hate on the haters. I really liked my time withSonic Colors(Wii version). I get that you’d question that, given Sonic’s recent history, but I feel like while it may look like the “bad” Sonic, it’s a visual hybrid, and the gameplay is actually pretty good. I know writing off games before we play them is our favorite thing to do, but I’m asking you to give this one a chance. It’s fast, flashy and cool, like Sonic should be, but it actually controls well and makes some sense, which we haven’t seen in awhile.
Look at that new trailer. Doesn’t it look like fun? What if I told you that you could actually control it that way? As I told you inmy preview,Colorsis in 3D, but it opts to put in you 2D control much of the time, making it that much tighter of an experience. And the 3D segments are fine. Fun, even.
I’m fine with “cautiously optimistic.” Just don’t write it off.
And if it is actually a turd, at least you’ll get this sweet Sonic hat from your GameStop preorder.
