Ska Studios has pulled the sheet off its“Fervor Shine” countdownshenanigans to reveal — you guessed it — the sequel to its Xbox LIVE Arcade title,The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai. Confirmed for a “when it’s done” XBLA release,The Dishwasher: Vampire Smilewill make its premiere at PAX East this coming March.

The downloadable title keeps the gory, graphic novel sketch style of the original, bringing back the same style of action the title is known for. Of course, expect to find a fair share of upgrades and new additions, including brand new weapons. Ska Studios has revealed two new tools of destruction that would make any 80s cartoon thug blush: the “Violence Hammer,” a barbed-wire-wrapped section of steel girder, and the “Painkiller,” a six-foot-long syringe.

For those of you playing alone in your basement,Vampire Smile‘s single-player game will feature two solo character campaigns. But for those with friends, Ska Studios is including a cooperative campaign as well. Adding even more value, the sequel will ship with 50 “quick arcade challenges,” as well as an endless mode called “Dish Challenge.”

The game’s creator, James Silva, explains the goal is to take the sequel to a “bigger, better, and more badass level,” adding that “fluid animation, insane combos, disturbing weapons and creeping metal illness are set to collide in a very bad way when this game launches.”

Those attending PAX East will get a chance to seeVampire Smilein action, and possibly even go hands on with what promises to be a gory good time for mental patients and gamers alike. If you’re stuck at home, no worries — we’ll be there to report on whether or not Silva nailed that “bigger, better, and more badass level” he’s promising.
