The excellent side-game starringLost Planet‘s PTX-40A included on the disc is one of the reasons I gave the Japanese build ofTatsunoko Vs Capcoma9.0. It’s a 4-player shmup with three levels, three bosses, and multiple power-ups. It would be worth at least $5 as a downloadable title.
It gets better. In the American build ofTatsunoko Vs Capcom, the PTX-40A shmup is way better. From the video, you can see that there are now at least six levels, branching paths, and four playable characters (including Ryu!). As someone who spent many happy hours replayingGunbird 2with friends on the Dreamcast (hard-gay samurai and Morrigan team up FTW), it’s easy to imagine spending just as much time with this new Capcom crossover shmup. I’d buy this one for at least $20, maybe more.
Keep in mind, this is just one of 26 bonus side-games inTatsunoko Vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars(one for each character). We still don’t even know whatMega Man ZeroandFrank West‘s side-games will be.
If you like Capcom and/or fighters and you don’t buy this game, you are a God damned fool.
