Samurai Warriors 3is going to be exclusive to the Wii. It’s not often that Koei sticks to one system for itsWarriorstitles, but with the amount of support Nintendo is giving the game, who can blame them? The game is to even haveits very own Classic Controller, which will come bundled with the game at launch.
Monster Hunter 3will be the first game to bundle with a Classic Controller, but not even Capcom is getting its very own design. It’s a rather classy little controller as well, although there’s not yet been word that it will leave Japan.
Samuai Warriors 3will be available in three forms. Japanese customers can buy the software on its own with no extras, they can buy the “Special Classic Controller Pro Set” which comes with the pictured peripheral, or they can buy a “Treasure Box Set” that includes the controller along with a mini figure, a soundtrack CD and a strategy/art book. Like I said, this game is getting mega support.
This is sure to be massive in Japan. While theWarriorsgames only have a cult following in the West, they sell systems in their homeland. The marriage ofSamurai Warriorsand the Wii will mean huge amounts of money for all involved.
