We’ve got another Xbox LIVE Arcade Wednesday loaded with content; whether or not that content isgood, I’ll leave for you to decide. In addition to the three games mentioned in the title of this post, there’s also new DLC forN+andBuku Sudoku, which I’ll touch upon after the break.
First, there’sSamurai Shodown II(400 Microsoft Points). While it’s nice to see a classic SNK fighter priced so attractively, this XBLA version appears to be nothing more than a straight-up port. If you happen to own a PS2, PSP, or Wii, then your best bet would be gettingSamurai Shodown Anthology.
Next up isRocketBowl(800 MS Points), a futuristic bowling game that grants your balls the ability to boost and jump. Sure, the premise sounds good in theory, but at $10, giving the demo a spin is going to be a must.
The third and final XBLA title for this week isShotest Shogi(800 MS Points). Because I know literally nothing about Japanese chess, I’m not even going to attempt to explain how it works. If you’re in the same boat as me, you will definitely want to use the game’s interactive tutorial.
Those of us who downloaded the first DLC pack forN+can tell you how mind-blowingly easy the levels were in comparison to the rest of the game.
As it turns out, a second DLC pack containing 150 harder single-player levels, 50 multiplayer races, and 25 multiplayer survival maps is coming out on Wednesday for 200 MS Points. I don’t know whether to be excited or afraid.
Finally, newBuku Sudokudownloadable content will bring 1200 new puzzles to the table for 200 MS Points. Um, yay?
