Metal Gear Solid 4producer and Kojima Productions alumni Ryan Payton is rumored to have been snapped up by Microsoft to work on the fabledHalo Chronicles.
According toThe Beautiful One, Payton is to be the creative director forChronicles. The source of this Rumortoid is, of course, anonymous and mysterious, which means that we’ll have to wait for any official announcements before we gettooexcited.
Chroniclesis a project spearheaded by film director Peter Jackson and his Wingnut Interactive studio, in association with Bungie. It has been billed as an upcoming episodic game set inHalo‘s universe.
Payton was seen as a huge influence onMetal Gear Solid 4and became a regular name in the media, so it was inevitable that he’d find himself a high profile job in the industry afterleaving Kojima. TheHalofranchise is as high profile as it gets.
