Rhythm Paradise, the Wii version ofRhythm Heaven, will be coming to the Wii this summer in Japan, says Nintendo’s Financial Results Briefing.
Satoru Iwata said that he has played a near-final version of the game, adn that it never loses the uniqueness of the original. Ithinkthat’s a good thing. The single slide from the briefing, shown above, lets me know that we’ll still be doing silly things to the beat.
For those worried about the waggle factor, know thatRhythm Paradisehas been designed to only be played with buttons. I’m glad. The franchise has always been about very precise timing minigames, and I can’t see how the waving the Wii around would work in this format. Great news, I’d say.
It would be even better news if the game was confirmed for a summer release for North America. I’m sure we’ll hear more at E3 in about a month.
