This is alittle glimpseof what the New Xbox Experience could well have become, and as you can see, everything looks like it was coated with a thin layer of semen. Or maybe that’s just how I choose to see things.

Design firm Gridplane worked on these when NXE was in its early phases. Aesthetically, it looks a bit bleak, but it seems like navigation might have been a little more intuitive than the current “visuals-over-usability” focus of the official NXE.

“The time was spent exploring many ways that a new menu system could allow users to browse and navigate game libraries, music, movies and TV shows,”explains Gridplane. “Oh, and play games too.”

Something tells me that the videogame aspect was an afterthought with Microsoft just as much as that sentence jokingly alludes. Gridplane also claims it was working on a “an immersive 3D environment,” where the Xbox Live community could come together to interact with their games. No ideawherethey got that idea from.
