A few weeks ago there was a big drama over id Software’s upcoming FPSRagebeing split up ontwo disks for the Xbox 360. One would suppose that the game is fairly large, but only in a 12-inch turkey sub sense (as opposed to the meatball one, which is wicked hefty).Shacknews(via1UP) is reporting that despiteRage’s girth, it may still be digitally distributed.

The news stems from a response by id’s creative director Tim Willits, who told 1UP that “We haven’t figured out what we want to do yet. But I do want to fix the fact that John [Carmack] said [digital distribution is] not going to happen. What I’m saying is that’s not true.” Willits then went on to explain that Carmack made the comment about the size before the development team was even ready to speculate on the actual size of the game.

SoRage, in all its scary monster glory, could still be hitting Steam once the development team figures out how big their eventual product will be. For the sake of argument, let’s say that Rage ends up around 25 GB. Would you download it or buy the full version?
