The PSP recieved its weekly batch of digital comics yesterday and sadly it seems it will be its last. Sony has announced via thePlaystation Blogthat they’ll no longer be updating the catalog on the PSP. You’ll still be able to download the 4,000+ books already available on the store, but don’t look for any more Doctor Who…you’ll be extremely disappointed.
Stay hopeful! It seems they’re working on “bringing the comic service to other Sony devices” in the future. It’s unclear what that means but with their Media Go software readily available PCs seem like a fairly safe bet. The bigger question is what this means for thePS Vita. A rebirth of the service would definitely be appreciated.
Regardless, go check out this weeks releases then get ready to start buying hard copies again.
