Sometimes pre-order items are lame, like an XXL t-shirt that you end up using as rags, for instance. Or the tampon that was in my used copy ofShadow of the ColossusI bought from GameStop when I pre-orderedCall of Duty 4…
In other cases, they’re like this cool art book you get if you pre-orderSpider-Man: Web of Shadowsfor the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 at Best Buy. Hell, you don’t even have to go in to a store —just pre-order it online. Not surprisingly, the book will be filled withSpider-Manart, and should be a nice collectible for comic book fans.
As an incentive for us to post about this pre-order item, Activision have also passed along three new screens forSpider-Man: Web of Shadows. Because the story about the pre-order item gives us an excuse to write about the screens. And if the story was “Here are three new screens forSpider-Man: Web of Shadows, you may see Venom eating Spider-Man in one of them. The end,” then that would be boring.
This story about the pre-order (and the three new screens) was anything but boring. The end.
