Every once in awhile, a game comes along and nearly everyone on the Destructoid staff is hyped up about it. Such is the case with Fire Hose Games’Slam Bolt Scrappers, which was early today announced to be getting a March PlayStation Network release.

I haven’t had a chance to play the game yet, but everyone who has can’t say enough good things about it. Fire Hose Games’ Eitan Glinert tells me that since Dtoid writers last saw the game they’ve added new weapons, enemies, powers ups, and even more stuff they’re not talking about yet.

The best addition, however, might be the game’s “Beverage Mode,” a one-handed play control style. So you can sip your drink while playing… pervert.

From what I can tell, I can’t imagine I’ll be any less enthused than my fellow writers once I get my hands on the game. Love the art style, love the gameplay concepts, and I love that I can drink a coffee or scratch myself while playing it. What more can you ask for, really?
