While interest in both Kinect and Movemay not be the greatest in the worldaccording to people who keep track of these things that doesn’t mean that Microsoft is shoving Kinect into everyone’s face as much as they possibly can in every possible way. Their next promotion aimed at grabbing the casual market five years after Nintendo isletting customers at Macy’s play Kinect.
Starting on July 15 you will be able to head into 13 Macy’s stores across the country and try out Kinect for yourself. The demos cover much more of the country than the Microsoft store one’s did, but are still mainly located near or in major cities. On top of this the Thanksgiving day parade host will be giving away a Kinect a day on their site fromAugust 12 – September 10.
I will actually be interested to see how it is all set up and if they have to the balls to just place it in an uncontrolled area or if they’re going to be sequestering it to a perfectly lit makeshift room somewhere in the store. Either way I’ll be heading towards the Tyson’s Corner Macy’s to actually test this sucker out… and maybe get some new clothes.
