In less than one monthPlay for Japanhas raised over $100,000 to hand over as relief for the victims of the recent disasters in Japan. Lots of really great items went up for auction during that time.I really wanted Akira Yamaoka’s guitar. A Lara Croft arcade unit also went up, as did a life-sized Modern Warfare 2 Ghost statue.
Beyond this, Yamaoka partnered with other game music composers to createPlay For Japan: The Album. That’s coming this month to iTunes.
It’s great to see the game industry come together for this cause.
