It looks likeLittleBigPlanetcould be making mad bank for Sony when it launches on the PSP, if the promise of “Purchased Levels” turns out to be what it sounds like. The menu itemwas shown offat a recent Sony event, along with “Story Levels” and “Downloaded Levels.”

The PS3 version of the game has experimented with this before, having sold aMetal Gear Solidpack that contained five levels and new mini games, along with the popular paint gun. However, that was an exception, with user-created content providing the rest of the gameplay. It looks likeLBPPSP will provide a greater focus on premium levels with such a prominent menu section.

We’ll have to see how it goes. I love the sheer amount of free gameplay thatLittleBigPlanetcurrently offers, but I find the platforming so frustrating at times that I couldn’t see myself paying for levels. How about you? Would extra portable content forLBPbe worth your cash?
