2010 is coming to a close. Can you believe it? It feels like time has moved by so fast this year and so much has happened. 2010 was an amazing year for gaming but it’s time to look onward, TO THE FUTURE! Griefing is the all-too-common practice within online games of a player — generally a youthful one — entertaining themselves by making life harder for other players. The practice has long been the scourge of the Azeroths and Norraths of the world, but as often as it comes off as mean-spirited, it’s also incredibly hilarious if done correctly. With all the games that Windows it’s no wonder the platform has a billion digital download services like Steam. But there’s achancethat very same service might hit OSX — and as a Mac user, I’m stressing chance despite the call from Valvefor a few Macintosh and Linux engineers. Here’s the deal: a file dumpster diver on theSteam message boardhas discovered multiple small OSX branded files inside of Steam’s code. The list of stuff includes buttons and even dock icons, which is enough to make us scratch our heads — it’s not like a ton of games that Steam carries have Macintosh ports....

Ever since it was announced that Steamworks would be coming to the PlayStation 3, Valve has certainly been backtracking on many of its past sentiments. The latest bit of praise for the system comes by way of Erik Johnson, who says that the open nature of the PS3 makes it better for developers and consumers alike. “Part of the reason the PS3 project is so exciting to us is because fundamentally Sony views the PS3 as a very open platform for developers and that’s kind of what we feel like,” says Johnson....

Tecmo Koei has unleashed a brand new set ofWarriors: Legends of Troyscreenshots. This week, we get a look at some of the boss fights and cutscenes that will litter the game. Unlike the averageWarriorsgame,Legends of Troywill feature large-scale boss battles against a variety of mythical monsters. From what I recall of theE3 demo, these fights contain a bit more strategy than your typical button-mashing scenario, so hopefully the fights will be quite involved....

WithNeed for Speed: Hot PursuitandGran Turismo 5now out in the wild, it’s time forTest Drive Unlimited 2to start showing off its moves. This new trailer focuses on the game’s exotic locales, which have always seemed like the major appeal of the series. I can’t help but be reminded of that scene inRoad Housewhere Brad Wesley (the film’s rich, old meanie) is blissfully driving along and swerving from lane to lane without a care in the world....
