It was hot and sexy to see Nintendo announcing new goodies right and left at yesterday’s press event, and the new peripherals announced looked like they could be a lot of fun to use. As part of theirDarksiders IIcoverage,Game Informerasked Vigil Games how they feel about the new Nintendo console. The report shows how a stereotyped, sexist, and often degrading image of women is presented by the new electronic media. The report concludes that the majority of video games constitute one more element in the reproduction of discriminatory stereotypes against women that perpetuate and trivialise abuses against their human rights…...

Game Debate to the Death: What are your favorite RPGs?

Last timewe spent all week focusing on just theFinal Fantasyseries, and it was quite a lot to focus on. If you thought that was daunting though, just wait! Final Fantasydebates are usually a touchy subject, but while the results may be upsetting to some, I have to say that everything went better than I expected from start to finish. The focus stayed on your opinions — or on other opinions you agreed with — instead of the typical disagreements we see so often with this series....

Inlast week‘s debate we dived into theLunarRPG series, and no matter how you combine or separate the remakes, there was still one distinct winner. For the sake of saving space, I’ve combined originals and remakes in the list below. Monty Python.Lord of the Rings.Sam and Max. While these things are usually pretty awesome in their own right, they’re even better when you combine them, and that’s where this week’s forgotten game comes in.Kingdom O’ Magicis a 3D, hilarious adventure game that both parodies and respects not only theLord of the Ringsseries from which it draws its plot, but also pop culture and video gaming in general. If you haven’t heard ofKingdom O’ Magic, much less played it, you owe it to yourself to learn about it....
