Capcom and Microsoft had been teasing a new game in Japan, and that game has finally been revealed. Whether or not it’s “new” is up for debate, however.Monster Hunter Frontier Onlineis a PC version of the hugely successful animal-cruelty franchise, and it’s coming to the Xbox 360. Frontierwill mark the first time aMonster Huntergame has appeared on the Xbox 360. Strange that it’s taken so long, but there you are. So far,Frontier Onlineis confirmed for Japan only, with Capcom remaining tight-lipped about a Western version....

This morning Electronic Arts released several screenshots forNeed for Speed SHIFT. And gaze at these puppies, folks. They have everything: blur, speed, cars, tarmac, and sexiness. Mindjack is out next week and it has a concept which has definitely piqued my interest. It’s been awhile since Nintendo filed suit against third-party peripherial manufacturer Nyko over their Kama wireless Nunchuk controller for the Wii. Yeah,those kinky ones. Nintendo had beef with the product, calling it a copy of their offering, callinginfringementon their designs and trademarks. Imagine that! They also didn’t like that it carried the word “nunchuk” in its name. A press release today says that they’ve worked it all out. They don’t really say how it all went down, but we do know that Nyko’s Kama controller, winner of an award at last year’s CES, will continue to be sold....

Atelier Annieis just the sort of game that I never expect to see released in the US. Not because of the anime stylings, as those can fare pretty well here, but because of the gameplay, which is best described as a resort-building sim meets an alchemy RPG. The game’sbeen out in Japan since March, but NIS America has just announced it for a US release in late October. Alongside the announcement ofSakura Wars: So Long, My Lovegetting localized as well, it seems gamers that are interested in something a little off the beatenpath should start to look more towards NIS America to bring them what they want....
