Founded by a group of ex-Konami employees in 1992, Treasure quickly became known for their unique and innovative action games and shooters, with titles likeGunstar Heroes,Sin and Punishment,Silhouette Mirage, Radiant SilvergunandIkarugato name but a few....

Shame. It’s what I feel whenever someone asks me what I think about the newStar Trekmovie. Before you jump to conclusions, let me just say, I haven’t seen it yet. My shame is purely based on speculation. I feel its wretchedness in my future-predicting bones. Seriously. Remember theRock Bandstage kit which wasfirst revealedback in January? Well, it looks like it’s finally going to start showing up in people’s homes. The kit produced byPerformance Design Products, consisting of a fog machine and multi-color strobe light (which flashes to the music), will retail for $99. The accessory is only available for the 360 but will be compatible with both versions ofRock Band. This is really stupid. Who on Earth is going to buy this thing?...

THQ has announced that the Codeglue-developedRocket Riothas cut through all of the Microsoft certification red tape and will be released on Xbox LIVE Marketplace tomrorow, June 17. Available for 800 MS Points,Rocket Riotis a “side-view shooting action” game with an 8-bit era look and feel. The game features 80 single-player missions, as well as four multiplayer modes for up to eight players online and four players local. It looks like the game has you picking up a number of “whacky” weapons likes guided rockets, dizzy missiles, and other crazy rocket-type-things....

In news that very few Western people noticed with all the other madness happening in Japan, Tecmo Koei has announcedRomance of the Three Kingdoms XII, a new entry in its micro-micromanagement sim set during an era of ancient Chinese civil war. Due for a Japanese release in 2012 and designed for the PC,ROTK XIIis going to feature real-time battles and will support touch-screen computer monitors. In addition, low-end PCs will be able to run it, which is hardly a surprise given the series’ traditionally undemanding visual style....

Xbox Fanboyhas recieved a tip saying that aHalo 3video will be coming out on December 20th, and will feature the backstory of the Brutes and show off some of their abilities in game. It’s an interesting rumor floating around, but once you hear this, it makes sense, right? I didn’t followHalothat closely, but I at least played through 2, and this’d be a nice addition for 3. Also riding on the tails of this rumor is news aboutCertain Affinity being founded....

The best sources for leaked information are those who slink out of the dark retail world to reveal and secret and then vanish without a trace. Just that type dropped a hint toJoystiqletting them know that around the 5th of April, the PS2 would see a price drop to $99. This information supposedly came from Kmart’s retail database (see the gallery for a screenshot).Kotakualso says that this price drop will be advertised in a catalog that will come out around the same time the markdown is supposed to happen....

League of Legendshas a funny definition of a “season.” It’s now the 61st week in, and season one of the ranked games can now come to a close. This means that over the coming few weeks, the majority of player ELO rankings will be rolled back to level out the playing field. There are also some rewards being dolled out to the high-ranking players, including not just platinum to bronze summoner icon frames, banners, and forum icons, but also a special character skin....

This is more of a RPG fan service announcement than anything else. What will probably be your first real RPG for the 3DS is finally available today. Atlus’Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclockedshould be on store shelves as you read this. I loved the original DS version, so it’s already easy to recommend, but this new Overclocked one adds full voice acting, lots of visual upgrades, and a new eighth chapter to the story....

Localization notes are like our version of movies’ DVD commentary. I eat this stuff up, so I appreciate that Atlus is cranking out some of it for their upcoming DS RPGShin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
