I’d guess so, especially after seeing this new video onIGN. They recieved this teaser trailer from Ubisoft. The silly scene involves aRabbid(fromRayman Raving Rabbids) and the Balance Board that will come packed in withWiiFitwhen its released on May 19th. The company isn’t commenting on what this video means, but I think it’s fairly obvious: the nextRayman Raving Rabbidstitle will use theWiiFitBalance Board in some fashion.While I’m not necessarily that interested inWiiFit, I do enjoy some casual gaming withRaving Rabbids....

When Sega went and registered the “valkyria3.jp” web domain, a lot of people went ahead and assumed that there would be a newValkyria Chroniclestitle on the way. And why not? The strategy series has been a consistent critical success all around (Dale lovedValkyria Chronicles II), and even warranted anime and manga adaptations in Japan. Which makes this teaser site, located at “code1935.jp” all the more exciting, because those silhouettes are clearly of the first game’s iconicEdelweissbattle tank, and various Gallian soldiers wielding various war weapons....

Niero, Wow, I can’t believe it’s been two years since Destructoid started up! It almost feels like it was yesterday, but that would be ridiculous. Yeah, there’s other titles out for Nintendo’s systems this week, but my focus is on the long-awaitedEnjoy your massage(500 Wii Points). In it you play as an apprentice masseur at Giselle’s beauty farm. You’ll rub down six clients. The game is rated E10+ for “mild suggestive themes.” That’s all I’m saying. Also on the Wii isMy Aquarium 2, from Hudson. 500 Wii Points gets you your own in-TV aquarium. A link to the Forecast Channel can even change the aquarium’s appearance according to the IRL weather....

Seeing old Neo Geo games pop up on the Wii’s Virtual Console is always great. For me, I’d rather nab these over another copy of some Nintendo game I already have two other versions of. This week’s downloadable update brings a new Neo Geo title to the Wii VC: Street Slam. Street Slam(900 Wii Points) is a basketball title that features 3-on-3 play. It has over-the-top moves and arcade action — think of it as an earlyNBA JAM....

For years now people have been discussingthe downfall of retailthanks to the ever increasing use of digital distribution. Of course retail is still here as that inevitable downfall is a long way off because of the technical blockades in front of digital distribution at the moment (lack of save space, high speed internet isn’t everywhere, etc.). However, Nintendo Europe’s head, Laurent Fischer, actually sees downloadable services helping retail not leading it to its slow and painful death....

Unfortunately, the videogame industry is never that up-front and honest about upcoming reveals, and as it turns out, Kamiya wasn’t supposed to be taken seriously. Platinum Games producer Atsushi Inaba has now denied that anyBayonetta 2news is coming, stating for the record that Kamiya’s jokes tend to push the envelope. In other words, don’t trust anything the man says, because there’s a good chance he’s screwing with you, just to watch you cry....

Off-Road Velociraptor Safari,the greatest game evar, is now out. The game is afree to playand all you need to do is download a browser plugin. After that, you can create an account which will give you access to theleaderboards, stats and keep track of your hilariousachievements. Or you can just go in as a guest and get right into the action. Off-Road Velociraptor Safariis about a Velociraptor that drives a Jeep on his quest to kill other Velociraptors and ship them off to Num-Num coporations, which will make tasty treats out of the raptors....

I’ve been listening toDistant Worlds II: more music from FINAL FANTASYlately. This is the follow-up to the originalDistant Worldsconcert CD we proudly carried around last year after meeting the composer himself,Nobuo Uematsu. To be clear, I loved the last CD, even after the shine of meeting one of my musical heroes wore off. It’s just a fantastic collection ofFinal Fantasymusic played by a fantastic orchestra. But this new one? Wow. It tops the old one easily....

The originalRed Steelhad so much potential, but it sadly didn’t live up to the hype. Now we haveRed Steel 2on the way, and it has some big hype building up around it, thanks in large part to the Wii MotionPlus. The extra attachment that should have been a part of the Wiimote in the first place is promising a 1:1 replication of your movements with that of the game’s character....
