Tekken Tag Tournament 2is looking pretty slick in the above video. If this video is displaying the truth than we’ll all be pulling off some awesome combos while kicking each others ass. What I mean by that is that you’ll be pulling off awesome combos and I’ll be mashing button frantically until something happens. As for the character confirmations we’ve got Paul, Law, King, and Armor King all in action for the first time in this video taken from MLG Dallas....

There originally wasn’t going to be one of these this week, since I was traveling. However, I had an idea on the plane ride home and I found it so funny I laughed really loudly in the face of the frightened woman sat next to me. Then I punched an air stewardess when she told me to calm down. I also refused to turn off my electronics when the plane was about to land....

Arkedo, the studio behindBig Bang MiniandNervous Brickdown, have come out with a new game calledJUMP!for the Xbox Indie Games Channel. It’s a retro style platformer where you have to battle enemy crabs and destroy bombs planted all over the levels. The best part ofJUMP!, to me anyway, is the pixilated art style. It’s absolutely fantastic and great to look at.JUMP!available now on the Indie Channel for 240 Points. It’s interesting that Arkedo has jumped from DS development to the Indie Games channel....

This week’s setup belongs to garison. He has a nice collection of consoles, rare Nintendo themed PEZ heads, a ton of magazines and plenty of games. He has a good collection of some rare games too. Having a series likeTribes, which doesn’t exactly scream “cutting edge” these days, synergize with social media marketing — yep, it’s weird.

[Update:Epic contacted us to say that Ubisoft is using the considerably older Unreal Engine 2, not Unreal Engine 3. Looks like thatInfinity Blade 3Dwill have to wait.] A while ago, Epic’s Mark Rein said his studio wasn’t supporting the Nintendo 3DS because itwasn’t powerful enoughto run its popular Unreal Engine. Apparently, Ubisoft does what Epican’t, as it’s had no trouble running Unreal on the system. “The 3DS is powerful, and we are able to run the Unreal Engine on this console, which is pretty impressive for a handheld machine, and the 3D doesn’t affect the performance (thanks to my amazing programmers),” boastsSplinter Cell3DS producer Fabrice Cuny....

Ultra 64. It’s been so long since I’ve heard that name. It conjures up images ofFinal Fantasytech demos and fanboy-ish forum posts. Remember the 64DD? Remember the termProject Reality? In a recentSiliconera interviewwith Xseed’s President Jun Iwasaki and Director of PublishingKen Berry, there’s a tad bit of tit for tat over what would need to happen in order forRetro Game Challenge 2to leave Japan. Ken says the original game needs to sell 20,000 more copies for the sequel to come to the States, where Jun says the game needs to sell 100,000. When you’re throwing out random numbers regarding huge business decisions that have clearly not been given much prior discussion, why not shoot for the moon, right?...

There are some downsides to transferring your DSiWare games to the 3DS. From what I can tell, your save data doesn’t transfer along with your games. That’s a sad thing for aCave StoryandPictoBitshigh score junky like myself to discover after the fact. Still is was more than worth it to transfer my games to the 3DS, if not just for this specialPikmin-based Easter Egg. My preciousBlayzeBloosave data may be gone for good, but seeing an army of Pikmin lifting chibi-Ragna’s head into the air and transforming it into a gift box is a something I’ll cherish forever....
