E3 09: First look at The Beatles Rock Band with your eyes

It was hard for me tonotmake some kind of “Magical Mystery Tour” reference in the title of this post, because that’s exactly whatThe Beatles Rock Bandseems to be. Mysterious in that, despite the fact that it’s been announced, what the game looks like has been kept under wraps for quite some time. Magical, because seeing these first screens of the game in action you see the amazing way in which Harmonix has captured the Fab Four digitally....

EA MMA’s big and bruised men go at it in these shots

We tried and tried to glean some important and meaningful details from the most recent batch of EA’s mixed-martial arts game screenshots. But we can’t. And why is that, you ask? Because look at those feet! Digital dude is rocking skin wrinkles, splotches, and even the slightest of arches. Notice how the big toe on the right foot is just barely curled alongside his other piggly-wigglies. And those ankles — oh, to die for!...

EGM rumors: God of War 3, Gears of War 2, sequel to Skies of Arcadia

Electronic Gaming Monthly‘s long-standing tradition of the “Quartermann” monthly rumors column has has its share of hits, and as many misses. But each and every month, it’s the first page I flip to when I receive my new issue. I just love juicy rumors and gossip. Hell, I write for a blog. According to 1UP, this month’s batch of rumors really aren’t very shocking. Take God of War 3, for instance — “rumor” has it that SCEA Santa Monica are already working on the upcoming PlayStation 3 title, which is set to hit next holiday....

ESRB: Skyrim has excessive drinking, heart-whores

The Entertainment Software Ratings Board has finally given us a summary forThe Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and it’s a beauty! There’s enough sex, violence and substance abuse detailed here to make up 10% of Charlie Sheen’s memoirs, and it sounds a lot more interesting! “Some sequences allow players to injure/kill nonadversary characters, including prisoners chained to a wall; they scream in pain amid splashes of blood or fire,” writes the ESRB....

Fallout 3 will have over 200 endings, you will never have a life again

Okay, I’ve played games with two, four, even six or eight endings. That’s fine, it’s kind of fun to see them all, especially the “easter egg” endings like inSilent Hillwhere the UFO comes. There comes a point where enough is enough though…right? Bethesda’s Todd Howard recently did the official Xbox podcast and talked aboutFallout 3, and revealed somenew tidbits, including the boggling new number of endings available. The highlights list:...

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection is out

Square Enix has kept pumping content intoFinal Fantasy IVthese past 20 years.
