Today, we’re here todo it again, as yet another pair of practically anonymous scrotes are due to show up in the game too. Who are Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt? Not a clue, but they are now part of theFaceBreakercast. Hailing from some (probably dreadful) MTV reality TV show, they will be the latest part of EA’s plan to seemingly turn a quirky sports game into an embarrassing parade of talentless bottom feeders who are famous purely for fame’s own sake....

Technically, this launch trailer forMortal Kombat Arcade Kollectionis gruesome. Maybe this is just me personally, but once you’ve sliced enough bad guys with chainsaws or any number of assorted weapons, the gore of the original threeMortal Kombatgames seems incredibly tame. As it stands, Deep Silver’s and Techland’sNail’dis already pretty metal. I mean, it’s a game called nail’d that drops the “e” because dropping letters is metal. It’s also a name that evokes sexual intercourse, as well as violence, both things which are very metal. So it comes as no surprised to learn that the entire soundtrack is made up of heavy metal music, with a number of artists creating original tracks specifically for the game....

Here’s a set of new screenshots forPAC-MAN & Galaga Dimensions, coming to 3DS later this summer. Half of the pics feature theGalaga: 3D Impactgame, which puts you behind the gun turret for a first-person shooting experience. The other half are ofPAC-MAN Tilt, a platform game with tilt controls which looks fun. They also look like games for the iPhone, don’t they? I hope that 3D effect goes a long way towards distinguishing them....

NIERhas a brand new trailer today, full of monsters, floating books and questionable voice acting. It’s suitably melodramatic, and I must say that this firmly adult action game from Square Enix is taking shape and looking quite promising indeed. NIERwill be out on April 27 for Xbox 360 and PS3. I’m quite looking forward to it, as it seems like it’ll be a very solid action game and I always have time for those....

If you dugThe Tempura of the Dead, there’s a decent chance you’ll enjoyNinja Senki, a new — and totally free — 8-bit platformer for Windows. It has a similar style to that ofMega Man, but the controls feel tighter. Actually, excluding the obviously retro-centric visuals,Ninja Senkifeels fairly modern on the whole. All you really need to know is that you can throw shurikens and jump up into the HUD (aka the best part of older titles)....

Ubisoft has announced that the upcoming PC version ofAssassin’s Creedwill finally be available at retail this March. Although late, the PC version of the title is not just any oldAssassin’s Creed. No, no — this one is theAssassin’s Creed: Director’s Cut Edition, which features four brand new exclusive types of investigations. There’s no word on what these new investigation types will be; the console versions feature things like pickpocketing, various informer missions, eavesdropping, and smacking around dudes in back alleys for information....
