Videogames and comic books. Is there no greater marriage? Not according to the many publishers that want their upcoming game committed to ink for all eternity, in any case. The latest company to join the comic book craze is Eletronic Arts, announcing a deal with IDW to putArmy of TwoandDragon Age: Originsdown on paper. Dust 514 trailer is Haloriffic

Dust 514is looking like a promising project. It’s a first-person tactical shooter set in theEVE Onlineuniverse and it’s also coming to home consoles. This is the HD debut trailer for the game and, as you can see, it’s certainly something thatHalofans will feel right at home with. Seems like it could be quite cool, and I really like the idea that battles fought inDust 514will actually affect theEVEMMO. We’ll have to see how all that works before getting too excited, but it seems as if a very solid FPS is in the works....

E3 2007: Hands-on with Devil May Cry 4

My eyes weren’t fixed onDMC4until I ran into our own Colette trying her hand at the game, giggling with a sort of unrestrainable glee that only a good, solid action title can draw out of you. I was blowing away the hordes of zombies at theUmbrella Chroniclesbooth but kept an eye on the other screen, thinking “Damn, I could be playingthat.” Blazing at 60 frames, newcomer Nero was tearing through demons at speeds so swift I could barely keep up, and the experience seemed effortless — I had to give it a shot....

E3 2007: Killer Killzone 2 gameplay footage

Okay, so Sony did it.Killzone 2looks wonderful. Some words were eaten when Sony rounded out their press conference at the E3 Media & Business Summit with real real-time footage from the game, and while it didn’t totally meet the bar they set in 2005, it came pretty damned close – close enough to almost (almost!) reclaim some of the face that was lost a few years ago during E3. Nods of approval and “good enoughs” have made their rounds, and everyone in the gaming world seems pleased and somewhat positive....

E3: Devil Survivor 2 will hit the DS in 2012

After some earlerFamitsu rumblings, Atlus has now announced thatDevil Survivor 2, set in theShin Megami Tenseiuniverse, will hit the Nintendo DS next year. Dale enjoyed the firstDevil Survivor, so I bet he will love this sequel. And yes it’s being developed for the DS, not the 3DS. The strategy role-playing game will be set around a group of high school students (of course), who discover a website that shows viewers how they will die....

EA to bring Playground antics to the Wii and DS

The playground was never a very fun place for me. Between having my fingers stomped on and being thrown in the bushes constantly I never really looked forward to recess. So once Electronic Arts announced today that it will be bringing a game calledEA Playgroundto the Wii and DS I had a fair share of traumatic flashbacks. To my relief, the new game will focus on what isfunabout the playground, mainly things like dodgeball and tetherball, rather than making some of us have to relive the past by playing something called “Crying by the Tire Swing....

Expanded Call of Duty 4 training sequence discovered

Do you remember F.N.G., the training course inCall of Duty 4: Modern Warfare? The one at the beginning of the game where the SAS guys have you run through a training course to suggest what the game’s difficulty should be set at? It would seem that, before the course and after the segment where you slice open a watermelon with your knife, there were two other tutorial lessons that Infinity Ward decided to cut from the game’s final release....

First in-game footage of FUEL shows ridiculous weather

While the fairly recentCGI trailer forFUELwas impressive, what CGI trailer isn’t impressive these days, at least visually? Today, Codemasters has released another video, but this time the footage is entirely in-game.Upon watching the above trailer, I was pleasantly surprised tonotbe greeted by Wolfmother’s “Woman,” a song which has made an appearance in virtually every racing game trailer. Ever. The game’s main draw will undoubtedly be its environment, which features “100,000 miles of roads, tracks and trails....

First Master System games for Wii Virtual Console announced

I’d like to believe that there’s a Sega kid in all of us, though these days it seems that most are a bit down in the mouth when it comes to the Japanese game maker. That’s okay, though. Those Sega faithful that have been around since the good old days will surely remember the Master System. It’s nice to think back to those simpler days, isn’t it? The return of these titles can help us get back to that....

Dtoider Doskias sent something to the Destructoid tip line that I think is probably my favorite news story for the month on July now. And it’s only the second day of the month! Seeing as how the demand for the Wii has pretty much leveled out, GameStop is desperate to sell some Wiis. How desperate? They’re offering f**ckingrubber duckies! Don’t like rubber duckies?
