There was this extensive list of “PC games everyone should play” floating around the Internet a while back, and if I remember correctly,Outcastwas on it. I’m fairly sureMaster of Orionwas also on this list, now that I think about it.
Both titles recently got the Good Old Games treatment and are being offered DRM-free for $5.99 each on the digital download service. I could ramble on and on about how I spent summers playing theMaster of Orionseries, but that’d be a dirty lie.
What really happened was my uncle used to incessantly play these games for a good number of years and I would always stand by his side, struggling to figure out the appeal. It’s also worth noting that I have the inability to grasp the basic concepts ofMOO, so my opinion here is not to be trusted.
