So remember when inGuitar Hero 5you could put Kurt Cobain into a song that totally didn’t jive with who Kurt Cobain was. At first it was kind of funny, but then you felt a little awkward. Then it turned out you weren’t the only one who thoughtthere was something off about it. That won’t be happening anymore to any celebrity musicians.
In the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine itwas revealedthat famous people will not be playable inGuitar Hero 6, thus saving Activision from a slew of PR nightmares and really not disappointing all that many people. I mean, is anyone going to really miss this feature?
This doesn’t mean that famous people won’t be appearing in the game. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich and KISS frontman Gene Simmons will both play a role in the game. A “Quest” mode will have you “recruiting” other rock stars as well. Confirmations in the article include songs by Queen, Black Sabbath, and KISS, CBGB being the only real world venue and a promise that the game is going “back to basics.”
