God, I want to be excited for thePrince of Persiamovie. The series has been one of my favorites from its earliest roots on ancient computers to the divisive newest game. I want it to be good so incredibly badly. And thus, every time a new trailer lands like the one above I look for more and more hints that this won’t just be a big budget catastrophe. My fears have been slightly assuaged, but are far from gone.
While clearly not the nextCitizen Kane, I think we’ll be having some solid action in this sucker. What we won’t be having is a decent screenplay as those one-liners are terrible. I mean really, bad. They’re supposed to put the best ones in the trailer, so that is not a good sign. However, asa fan of bad action, I can confirm that this does appear to be a good back action flick. Only a few months until we find out for sure.
