With the release ofinFamous 2just a few weeks away, it seems like Sony Computer Entertainment America is looking to snare a few more sales by sweetening the pre-order pot. They’re adding three new weapons and a skin for Cole to an already complicated bonus offer scheme. Players will receive these items in addition to any other bonus DLC they receive from pre-ordering from a participating retailer or from the “Hero Edition” of the game.
It’s a rough release date forinFamous 2, being square in the middle of the media carnage that is E3, and I can understand the desire to get as many of your customers coughing up their money before something shiny can distract them. I’m looking forward to playing it, feeling that the first one just needed some tweaks to be really brilliant, but I know I’m not going to get a chance to do anything with it for weeks anyway, so I think I’m going to hold off for a bit.
