Yet another in-game musician has been revealed forGuitar Hero 5, this time the unlikely and random choice of Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.
Nothing against Bellamy; I love Muse and the band’s music, and I think it’s a perfect fit for these band games. (I simply love playing the bassline of “Hysteria” inRock Band.) But when you compare him to the other “legends” who will appear in the game — guitarist Santana and the yet-announced, but more or less confirmed Kurt Cobain (among others) — he’s not quite up there. He’s also noTaylor Swiftor that guy fromMaroon 5.
But here he is anyhow, and his character model has no lower teeth. Or maybe Bellamy doesn’t have lower teeth in real life. I don’t really know. Muse’s song “Plug in Baby” appears inGuitar Hero 5; the band’s newest album,The Resistance, is out this September.
