Last month, we talked about the benefits and pains of playing with other people; this month, we’re talking about the emotions and ideas that come from singleplayer experiences.

What does singleplayer gaming offer that multiplayer doesn’t? Is singleplayer a more, or less “pure” form of videogaming? What accounts for the general trend toward singleplayer experiences in today’s market?
