Mega Man Universewas announced this morning. The latest in Capcom’s long-running series will be a “revolutionary take on the seminal classic, setting course for a new chapter in classic gaming.” Wow, that’s exciting and vague at the same time!
“We are thrilled to finally be able to announceMega Man Universe,” said Kenji Inafune, Head of Research and Development Management for Capcom Entertainment. “This game will break the mold and challenge the conventional wisdom of what a Mega Man game can be. When fans finally get to see it, I believe they’ll envision their most far-out Mega Man dreams coming true.”
They say that classic gaming will never be the same again. They also say that imagination is the star of the game. What the hell does this mean?
Mega Man Universewill come to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store. We’ll have to wait for dates and more details. Stay tuned. I’m guessing we’ll see lots more at Comic-Con next week.
