Just becauseMaddenis coming to the iPad and the iPhone doesn’t mean that it’s going to be a watered down experience. All the teams and stadiums in the console version will be featured here plus there’s going to be something that the console version guys might be jealous of.
Exclusive to the iPad is a new mode called “Vintage Voltage Football” and is a throwback to thoseelectric football board gamesof yesteryear. EA wasn’t ready to show off the new mode, but imagineMaddenwith everyone vibrating around on the field. The “glitches” will even remain intact so expect to see players going in circles or going to the wrong end zone. Best of all, announcer Gus Johnson will even be providing commentary on all the possible weird stuff that will be happening within the game.
As for the main game, you’ll have freedom to completely ignore the standard plays and create something original before each play on offense. You’ll be able to trace the route of where you want your players to go and you’re able to save them to your playbook for future use. This feature is also available for the defense, and you have more control of the action as you can freeze the game as many times as you want to trace where your players will move.
Don’t worry, this is just one type of control option. There will be traditional button controls and the “Game Flow” feature where the game runs plays automatically is also featured.
As for the iPhone version, I was shownMadden 10and11side-by-side for comparison and it was like night and day. It was pretty impressive seeing how much more detail and improvements the newMaddenreceived since the last game.
