Logitech has announced today its PlayStation 3 “Premium Drum Controller” forGuitar Hero, a $229.99 monster kit that will be available this July in the U.S., and August this Europe. The drums will also work with PlayStation 2 versions ofGuitar Hero.
Officially licensed by Activision, the wireless drum kit features three adjustable drums head with recessed rims, making sure you hit the mark every time. The kick pedal has a stainless steel surface and what Logitech says is an “adjustable spring”; but looking at the image, it looks awfully similar to the official, out-of-the-box kick pedal.
You can keep this thing juiced up for 50 hours with two AA batteries, so you can rock until your arms fall off.
Admittedly, I have far too many drum sets in my house as it is; I’ll pretend like it’s just one Rock Band kit and one Guitar Hero kit, so you don’t think I’m weird. But I’d be willing to upgrade to a better, more solid kit provided it looks worth the money. Not so sure this is doing it for me — it kind of just looks like the official kit with better materials.
