Believe it or not, a lot of my job — especially since Destructoid is an independent blog — involves handing out my business card. I’m a consummate professional, pulling cards out of pockets or fishing for one in my wallet. Business … it’s serious.

All that’s changing with thisIce ClimberFamicom-cart-shaped business card holder I picked up atworld-famousnerd-famous retro-gaming paradise Super Potato in Akihabara. This isn’t an old Famicom cart modified and re-purposed, either; the business card holder is slightly smaller than an actual card, and opens at top hinges. It holds somewhere between 20-30 cards, which is as many as I usually get to hand out before people start spilling beers on me at events.

In before someone starts yelling “OLD!”: these card cases aren’t really anything new. At Tokyo Game Show last year,Cheap Ass Gamer’sCheapy D showed me hisLegend of Zeldabusiness card case, and it only took me a year to get my own. Other styles available wereMario Bros.andSuper Mario Bros., all of which were more expensive thanIce Climber. (I can’t imagine why … it’s a far superior game to all of those titles.)

I haven’t poked around online to see if these are available anywhere, mostly because I’m scared that the price will be way cheaper than what I paid. (No, I won’t tell you what I paid, because my wife will likely have a fit if she hears what I spent on a piece of blue plastic.) If you’re interested, I’m sure you do a quick Google search and maybe get one of your own; just don’t tell me (or my wife) how much you paid.

But honestly, professionalism has no price. And God damn it, I’m professional.
