Burger King has not had the strongest showing in Japan. In fact, all of the locations closed in the early 2000s, and it wasn’t until a year or two ago that they came back to the market. Now they’re back in full force, and it seems that they’re getting clever with a new promotion tie-in with a current videogame.
King, meet King. Burger King is promoting Wii gameLittle King’s Storywith fun things like posters featuring both the Angry Whopper and the game’s characters. Sure, it’s kind of a stretch, but they manage to pull it off. There’s also specialLittle King’s Storytray mats for you to look at as you eat your lunch alone. This is all in an effort to promote the release of the game in Japan next month.

Andria Sangsays that Burger King is expected to make some kind of announcement to commemerate this cooperative promotional effort. This may be related to an open call where Marvelous is looking for someone from the public to play the role of the King in their promotions. Winners get a 50,000 yen (around $500) a day payday!
Speaking of Burger King Japan: If you’re bored, check out theAngry Whopper flash game. You can actually taze a whopper and be insulted at the same time.
