I have some misgivings aboutLego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. For one, I think the lego mini figures look ridiculous with those big bulbous eyes. Second, I couldn’t care less aboutThe Clone Warsstory. I enjoy the show, but it’s usually just as good with the sound off.
The good news is, it looks like not all of the game will take place duringThe Clone Warstime-frame. According to a mini-interview with USAToday, we’ll get to relive key scenes from the films as well, including a reenactment of the climactic battle at Geonosis at the end ofAttack of the Clones.It might be tough to pull of a battle of that scope, but it sounds like Traveler’s Tales up to the task. They’re planning on pushing the game’s engine as hard as they can, with +300 interactive characters planned for some scenes.
There will also be playable characters from otherStar Warsstorylines, such asThe Force Unleashed, with over 175 playable characters in all. I seriously hope they stick an E.T. in there. Lego E.T. would kick ass.
