Konami Japan has announcedContra Rebirthis coming to the Wii via WiiWare in Japan this summer.
Not much is known about the game other than the fact that it’s supposedly an all-newContraadventure, borrowing liberally from previous titles in the series, similar toGradius Rebirth. By looking at the screenshots, the game has a distinctContra III: Alien Warsfeel, which is a good thing… because that game freakin’ ruled.Contra Rebirthwill feature cooperative support, likely offline only.
The title will be available on in Japan on May 11 for 1,000 Wii Points. There are no details on a North American release at this time.
